Alongside the family programmes, music also takes centre stage on Margaret Island, on the Beats Sziget stage. The Saint Stephen's Day concert series is kicked off by the Zabszalma band, one of the children's biggest favourites, and after a short break, the programme continues from 16:00 with a concert by Дeva, who blends folk music elements with a modern sound. The varied popular music programme also features well-known Hungarian bands such as Quimby and Random Trip, while the Serbian artist Boban Marković takes care of the hot Balkan atmosphere. From 23:00, the party continues into the night with Infragandhi's driving DJ set.
Formed in 2008, the Zabszalma ensemble appeals to families with their own songs and their musical adaptations of contemporary poetry. Their richly orchestrated, varied programme brings to life works by, amongst others, Zsuzsa Gál, Anna T. Szabó, András Ferenc Kovács and András Nagy Bandó. At their interactive concerts, they engage the audience with nursery rhymes, riddles and sing-alongs. Zabszalma not only entertains, but also introduces children to musical instruments in a playful way and awakens their curiosity about music and poetry.
